A few weeks ago I got a text from my boo Carly (find here blog HERE) asking if I would be down to get out of LA for a few days and go to Palm Desert for a change of scenery for our shoots. I couldn’t type YES fast enough haha.
We hopped in the car and headed to the desert! It was a super quick and easy trip from LA, it only took us about 2 hours! As we arrived to our hotel we both started getting giddy because we knew how much fun we were about to have! I want to give a HUGE thank you to Miramonte Indian Wells Resort for having us and making us feel like celebs- no joke. If you are looking for a cute place to stay that is away from all the busyness of Palm Springs but are able to get there within 15 minutes- look no further!!
The Miramonte is exactly what I would picture when you say “desert resort”. From the beautiful landscape, to the hot desert air, to the palm trees and mountain views, to the beautiful pool, it was everything and more! But i’ll stop blabbing and let the pictures show you what I mean!
We were so surprised when we opened the door to our room because it was MASSIVE! We both dropped our bags and instantly ran and jumped on the bed haha yes, we are 28 going on 13. The room came with a sitting area, tv, desk 2 queen beds, a bathroom/shower and an additional sink/vanity area where we got read for the day. Oh, and you cant forget about the cute little garden patio we had our coffee right outside our room!
The first night we were there we scouted places for different outfits and we were laughing to each other about how easy the hotel was to shoot at! The pool/hot tub area was like we were in an Architectural Digest! Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself!
After we shot around the hotel a little, carly got on the bikes that they have for the guests and I got on my skateboard and we went for a little ride. I love when hotels have little activities for the guests to do!
Although we only ate breakfast at the hotel, it was definitely something I need to rave about. O.M.G. Now if you know me, I’m a big breakfast person, and this exceeded every expectation I had! We both ordered the smoothie which was so refreshing and came with a cute little strawberry garnish, an iced almond milk latte, and I got the eggs florentine. Even though we had an opportunity to eat breakfast elsewhere the second morning, it was a no brainer that we were eating breakfast at the hotel again, it was that good!! Our server, Edgar, was also super helpful with locations for our shoots!
If you’re into spending time at the spa- you’re in luck! This resort has a great spa with a cool salt-water pool and a fancy locker room with steam rooms! Carly and I were too busy to actually book any spa appointments but you can bet next time I come back with Jon we will be hitting up the spa!
Honestly I think my favorite part of the resort was the interior design. Every room that I went into was different but was serious VIBES. I can’t even count the times I said “omg Pinterest vibes” about all of the beautiful interior designs. I hope that one day when I have a house it can look evenly slightly as amazing as the interior of this resort!!
I really feel so lucky to have traded in the hectic LA scene for a few busy but relaxing days at the Miramonte Indian Wells Resort. This little girls get away was just what we needed and I couldn’t be more thankful to the staff who worked constantly to make us feel comfortable (which made us not want to leave haha)
