Review: Eve Lom Radience Transforming Mask & Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask

I want to first start off by saying just because I was gifted these two products, the opinions I have about them are my own and I would never give something a good review just because it was gifted to me!

Now that that is out of the way! Let’s get into it!

Eve Lom Radiance Transforming Mask

The Eve Lom Radiance Transforming Mask is definitely pricey, but quite effective! I wasn’t sure how effective this mask would be at exfoliating, because it’s made up of a ton of different oils and glycolic acid, but there is definitely enough acid in there to do it’s job. When I first opened it up, a waft of fragrance came out of the jar. If you are someone who doesn’t like fragrances in their skincare, I would steer clear of this one. With that being said, it’s not a bad scent and it doesn’t linger for long, but definitely something I wanted to note! The actual consistency of the mask is a super thick, almost Vaseline-like consistency which I wasn’t expecting. It does come with a little spatula to help get the product out because it is that thick (I already lost mine though, oops). Online it looks more like a thick cream when in reality it is a thick balm. Once you rub it in your fingers it sort of turns into an oil, but it’ still extremely thick when you’re putting it on your skin.

THE REVIEW:

It said to leave it on for a min of 30 minutes (you can also sleep in it), so the first time I used it I kept it on for 2 hours. It was definitely hard to get off and I felt like I was at the sink rubbing warm water on my face for an hour, but in reality it took me about 2 minutes to feel completely clean. I fell asleep right after and I didn’t see a huge difference when I woke up. About a week later, after coming back from a weekend of snowboarding in Mammoth, my skin was soooo dry and flakey so I decided to try the mask again. I had it on for a few hours and decided to go to the gym, so I washed it off, and headed down to work out. I promise this story has a point, stick with me haha. As I was walking there I subconsciously was rubbing my face and couldn’t get over how smooth it was. When I realized I was doing it (because i usually try not to touch my face b/c hello, breakouts) I wondered why, and a light bulb went off in my head- IT WAS THE MASK. This mask made my cheeks feel like a tiny babies bottom, oh my god! This mask is going to be my go to great for when I have dry flakey skin (lol, always), and unlike my other masks with glycolic acid (Algenist Bi-Phase, Glow Recipe Watermelon) I don’t have to wait overnight for the results!

The drawbacks for me on this product are: the price, um.. its 90$. But on the other hand- I have used it a total of 6 times and I cant even see a mere dent in the tub. Also the consistency might not be everyones jam, it’s truly like you are rubbing Vaseline all over your face. Other than that I have grown to really love this mask!

Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask

Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask

My under eyes are my problem area FOR SURE (super dry and I have a bunch of creasing/wrinkles), so whenever a new eye cream comes out I’m usually on board to try it out! When I got this one in the mail, I couldn’t believe how big and heavy the bottle was! Of course I opened it up right away and saw that it has this super unique cooling/massage ball applicator and I was instantly intrigued. It also doesn’t have a heavy scent, but does smell fresh! The directions say to use this 2-3x a week but I have been using it every night for 3 weeks with no issues! It’s main benefits are hydrating and depuffing.

THE REVIEW:

After opening the package, I immediately got up and washed my face so I could test it out. I must say the applicator is one of my favorite things about the eye mask. When I rolled it under my eyes, the applicator felt like a little massage, it was so cooling and made my under eyes look instantly refreshed. The texture is somewhere between a serum and a silicone. My under eyes drank this stuff up and by morning my under eyes looked SUPPLE and PLUMP. I was shockedddd! The dryness of my under eyes was drastically diminished, the puffyness was gone and it was almost as if the mask filled in some of the fine lines. If you are someone who suffers from extremely dry under eyes, fine lines, millia and or dark circles, please please please give this a try!!

The only drawback for me was the weight and bulkiness of the packaging, other than that I have nothing bad to say about it!
